For biochemical parameters (POC, PON, BSi, TEP, CSP, PIC), the absolute 'Fail' span was set to [0.0, 99999.0]. The 0.0 minimum prevents physically impossible negative biological mass, while the 99999.0 ceiling acts as a fail-safe to catch catastrophic transcription errors. The 'Suspect' span was dynamically calculated using a 3-sigma (3 standard deviations) statistical threshold derived from the dataset's own mean to accurately identify statistical outliers requiring human review before reusing.
